Treating ADHD is a 360 degree approach. Healthy sleep and good nutrition are very important. Consistent routines and easing into transactions can be very helpful as well. Some people who are neurodivergent may require a sensory diet meaning they may need additional support when it comes to their sensory and proprioceptive input.Seeking the help of an occupational therapist could provide many unanswered questions for parents. I learned a lot from my son's OT. It helped me understand my children's sensory needs and is the reason we created the Kinnebar Foot Swing product. Our children required constant movement in order to stay focused and alert. Limit screen time and encourage lot of gross and fine motor activities.
